Pedro’s Optometrist: “You Need A Full Diopter LESS”

Optometrist confirmed vision improvements, kittehz.

Endmyopia relies on you to go get the gains and share the gains.  Ole Jakey, just the librarian of the collective experiences.

Here’s Pedro, generously sharing his updates in our Facebook group:

So proud of Pedro.

There are many optometrist confirmed gains reports.

And I’m sure there are many more that we just don’t get to hear about.  Remember, lots of free resources.  You’re helping the next newbies to gain confidence by repaying all of our work and effort by sharing your results.

There are many more gains updates, without necessarily an optometrist’s sign-off.  I put limited stock in their opinion, since their job is selling lenses.  In some way all the more awesome though if they have to concede that your eyes need less of their subscription treatment.

Keep making those 20/20 gains!

Cheers,

-Jake

Axial Length Reduced: Biometry Results

We pontificate here quite a bit on axial length reduction being the underlying biology change associated with our improving eyesight.

Pontificate.  That’s the key word here.

We don’t really know.  Because we’re not even real scientists or professionals or funded by some lens manufacturing interests or otherwise well enough organized to conduct proper studies.

What we are is heathens.  Having personal experiments.

Nonetheless, heathenry as it may be, we have axial length related resources in the wiki.  I also point out studies here and here and here.

Really, who cares.  It’s all debatable.  The mission of endmyopia is to sow discontent among retail optometry fleeced customers.  Discontent, dissent and questions and also figuring out actionable tools to improve your eyesight.  Whether or not we have the ‘why this happens’ part correct, is secondary.  Interesting, but secondary.

With ole Jakey you’re looking at a dude who’s got nothing to gain (besides 20/20 but already been there, done that) and also nothing to lose from this process.  Either way.

Here’s Tyler’s update from over in our Le Meow forum:

Hey guys thought I’d share something interesting below I’ve attached results from my 1st biometry from around 1 year ago and then the results I’ve just gotten today.

Looks like there’s been a measurable change in the axial length of the eye reducing respectively by 0.08 mm in the left eye and a whole 0.1 mm in the right eye.

There’s also a few other measurable changes in the dimensions of the eye.

Sure the results might be slow but they’re definitely there.

Remember guys myopia can only get worse and never get’s better.

Now, is this proof of any sort?

F*ck no.

The only thing this proves is that the beard is glorious and full of wisdom, and that there are screenshots of papers with numbers on it.   If you’re a member of Le Meow, here’s the original thread.

You do you.  Maybe that includes 20/20 gains.

Cheers,

-Jake

Doctor: “How’d You Do This?”

It’s been quite a while since we’ve done any flexing of the 20/20 gains.

Of smirking at the mainstream narrative of, you know.  “Mysterious” and “genetic”.

So let’s.  Flex ‘n smirk.

What is this, you say.  Eyesight improving?

I know, I know.  Tall tales of far fetched far fetched-ness.  I won’t say that this isn’t another Internet scheme of wishful hopeful dreamers.

Your favorite old collector of these tales used to have -5 diopter eyesight.  Now 20/20.  It’s all musings and conjectures, and individual journeys and experiments.  Be skeptically curious, do some research, note the twenty thousand members in our Facebook group and ninety thousand monthly page views in our private forum.

If anything, a lot of people are curious to not be dependent on corrective lenses, for life.

Also add this one to our collection of opto confirmed gains

Go forth and … you know what I’m saying.

Cheers,

-Jake

Louise: Optometrists, GTFO 😡

Let’s kick off this latest round of improvement reports with some fun drama from the Facebook group.

For a bit of background, for whatever reason the last couple of days has been stirring from sleeper cell optometrists in the group.  Suddenly a flurry of activity there, recommending everything from atropine drops for myopia control (literally, poison) to ortho-k (literally, thousands of dollars for not addressing causality at all).

And while your favorite darling eye guru attempts to be patient with the forum moderating and not just always ban everybody, this does eventually result in smiting of the various potion-sellers.

Not before Louise got a word in, though:

There we go.

And as always I want to point out, there are plenty of good, supportive optometrists.

Fortuitously, in this same morning, a comment confirming what I always try to remind people of:

Reality strikes.

Partially at least this suggests that endmyopia is spreading.

Like ze veed, jaaaaa.

Let’s cover some gains quickly, today.

Agnes -3.75 Down To -1.50 In A Year

One from e-mails:

Solid gains.

There’s not much to be said here other than, just as expected.

Bella: -4.75 Down To -2.00

And one from the Facebook group:

LA, city of not-myopia.

Deirdre: -5.75 Down To -3.75

I’m running out of snarky commentary.

Love these e-mails.

Diana: -4.50 Down To -3.50

More e-mails:

Reductions keep coming.

Jason: -3.25 Down To -1.25

Gotta love the inbox:

One year gains.

Kaleigh: -6.50 Down To -4.00

A drop of 2.5 diopters in a single year:

How many optometrists get results like this?

Megan: -9.00 Down To -7.50

Down from almost double digits:

Nobody speaks French!

Niels: 6th Differential Reduction

A lot of improvement here:

Paid program participant, this one.

You know, your darling eye guru is literally sigh-ing, going “oh god I need to post all these improvement reports”.

No exaggerating, it’s a chore to post these.

Because there are so many, and that’s just people who bother to write (maybe what, 1-2% of actual percipients?).  Imagine this.  The mainstream keeps saying it’s this global epidemic, everybody is going myopic, we don’t know what to do.  Meanwhile the fix exists, and it’s so simple and effective that I literally find it a chore just to post a fraction of the improvement reports that we get, every. single. day.

What a fantastic system we have, and oh how we have placed our faith in the right group to guide us with this myopia problem.

Thanks, optometry.  You’re doing such a fine job.

You didn’t think we would get through one of these without a rant, did you?

Parakh: One Diopter Reduced

Here’s a good start:

To the point.

Pedro: -4.25 Down To -3.00

Nothing crazy here, just regular reductions:

Reducing diopter dependence.

And that should do it, for this round.

Remember what modern life is.  A jungle of temptations, everybody is trying to sell you something.  And nobody is telling you, hey this isn’t great.  Sugar, carbs, screens, social media, Netflix.  You’re welcome to binge on everything, since the state is sponsored by corporations, and corporations need you to be a consumer.

Ever realize that the media refers to you literally as a consumer?

Not fellow human, not people, not individuals, not lovely darling kittehz.  CONSUMER.

With that of course comes a lot of shrugging and head shaking and ignoring of clinical science and overt biological facts from your favorite optic shop.

You wear them glasses, and you don’t question it.  Make us some money.

Or, you know.  Accept the flickering light of the not-holy and dubiously sane eye guru into your heart, and make all teh 20/20 gaiiiiiinzzzz.

Either way.

Cheers,

-Jake

Darling Reader Mailbag: All The 20/20 Gains!

Quick recap of the past week of guru-inbox and some of our darling participant gains highlights.

First up let’s venture to the Le Meow forum and an update from a starting point of -0.75 to currently lens-free eyesight:

Charts!

That’s beautiful.

And here’s an ‘eye doctor’ approved update from Clement:

(don’t get Outlook for Android, though)

Another one to file under optometrist-confirmed gains reports.

And here’s another -0.75 to 20/2o report:

I’m not rigging these.

It’s a low myopia update week, what can I say.

And here’s another optometrist confirmed 20/20 gains report:

Love these.

And here’s one from the countless Facebook chat requests I get:

Great start.

And here’s Irfan and a whole diopter reduction so far:

Stimulus works.

And here’s one I really wanted to turn into a whole separate post:

Lots to unpack.

Sadly the old eye guru has been swamped lately.  No time for long ranting blog posts.  But you can totally see where this one would be headed.

Lastly, here’s a whole family’s worth of gains:

Amazing stuff.

There we go.  A week’s worth of gains highlights.

Maybe this is the way to go.  Weekly recap style posts on gains.

Usually I screenshot messages and stick them in a folder and then I never get back to the folder and posting the updates.  Hundreds upon hundreds of gains updates have fallen victim to the ravages of (lack of) time that is me trying to keep up with everybody getting rid of their glasses.

There are so many improvement reports and I really want to share as many of them with you, as possible.  That’s the whole point of endmyopia, not waxing poetic about the terrible state of affairs – but rather taking action and doing what matters.  Which is improving your own life, having your own experience, getting rid of those stupid glasses and going outside to see the world as it really is.

Go make some 20/20 gains!

Cheers,

-Jake

Endmyopia-Friendly Optometrists

Shjeeeees.

They are out there, kittehs.  Optometrists who know the secret handshake.  The winkey-wink.  The cough-cough-lower-diopters requests.

As of this writing, nobody who sells lenses for a living is going to tell you that you shouldn’t start wearing glasses.  Or that you shouldn’t wear full minus for close-up.  We’re not living in some kind of post-for-profit endmyopia wisdoms future.

But we are living in the present.  This site gets millions of regular visits.  Even our tiny Youtube channel has over four million watch minutes already.  If you search around for myopia related stuff on the Internet, you WILL stumble across endmyopia, and the infinite wisdoms of a sage recluse.

It’s inevitable.

Inevitable is also that people on a whole are fairly smart.  Yes I rag on the mainstream optometry profession.  It’s fun, it’s easy, and you know how much I like annoying people.

But truth is, with as much as we’ve gained in popularity, there have been more than a few in the optometry profession who heard about endmyopia, and decided not to just ignore it.  Skeptical but nontheless fired up a Web browser, went to Google Scholar, and typed in “lens induced myopia“.

Only takes one moment to sow the seeds of doubt on old timey myopia dogma:

Yea.  Forty-eight THOUSAND results.

If you have half a brain, that’ll give you pause.

And then some of those optometrists go, well … that does make some sense.  All of my “patients” do come back time and time again, and need higher diopter glasses.  Nobody has EVER come back and said, woohoo, my myopia has gotten lower, from my “treatment”.

From there, the breadcrumbs are easy to follow.  Basic vision biology, eye responds to stimulus, human eye axial change, if a semi conscious halfwit like your favorite uncle Jake can put it together, then a smart optometrist can too.

And they do.

 Yup.

Truth be told, an endmyopia friendly optometrist may sell way, waaay more lenses than an old-timey dogma adherent type.

In fact it may be the only way for retail lens sellers to survive the coming apocalypse of online lens selling.

I did pontificate about all this in a few videos.

We are seeping into the Zeitgeist.  Cultural consciousness.  Myopia dogma.  A time will come, when Jakey is dead (that’s a definite prerequisite, not being able to act ridiculously), that they will say that he was an actual wise and holy eye guru, a sage way before the time of sages.

I’m talking about this kind of sage.

See?  That’s why I have to be dead first.

All the neverending botanical jokes aside, they are out there.  Optometrists who know about endmyopia and agree with much of what we discuss.  I know a few dozen of them personally, I’ve gotten more than a few e-mails from readers who found their own, and comments like the one above from our Facebook group come up more as time goes on.

Update:  Literally the next day after posting this for you, another positive optometrist experience (this one from the BackTo20/20 support forum):

They exist.

These reports happen fairly regularly.

And figure that most of the time the person having the experience isn’t going to e-mail or share on Facebook.  So definitely you may have luck, finding a business worth supporting with your money, rather than condescending attitudes and old timey lens dogma.

Om-shanti, Kittehs.  Go forth and make all teh 20/20 gainz.

Cheers,

-Jake VonderHoliness

Diana: Starting Gains Optometrist Confirmed

One of the awesome purported ideas about the endmyopia method is how quickly you can start to see tangible results.

An old and dubious guru always like to say, a good way to live life might be skeptical, and also open minded.  Don’t believe everything you see or read, especially with this whole Internet-caused erosion of trust in general.  Realize that there’s a lot of snake oil and conspiracy theory and wishful thinking and unicorn farming out there – and among it, the occasional grain of truth.

Not to say that truth is here.  At all.

Just that this site, like any other, may have something worth your time.  And it only takes a little time to quantify for yourself.

Like Diana did:

Great start.

And with that, it’s more tempting to continue when you already find yourself on the right path.

Always question, research (Google Scholar!), and most importantly, quantify.  Don’t necessarily just trust your “feelings” but find ways to put tangible data down as measurable results.  Does a thing work?  Well … it says x, so are you getting x result?

Jake being a bit of a stock trading type still, will keep tempting you with quantifiable results.

Also Jake now likes to speak of himself in third person.

Go make some 20/20 gains!

20/30 With Bare Eyes, Optometrist Floored

We haven’t done gains updates in a while, looks like.  Overdue to add to the 20/20 journey pile!

First up is Keith, who has done something I often recommend – changing optometrists if your existing one doesn’t share your enthusiasm or curiosity, or isn’t at least willing to indulge your wish to explore alternatives to sheeple lenses for life.

Surround yourself with people who enable your ambitions!

Keith’s post from the Facebook group:

Support great optometrists!

There are a variety of these posts in our Facebook group, and I’m not doing it all justice here since I don’t get to post every one of them.  Do poke around the group for more gains reports.

Here’s one more though, from Henry:

Well done.

Of course you don’t strictly need the optometrist’s approval.  Trusting self measurements is a good idea.

But if you’re working with somebody who is engaged with you throughout the process, tells you which diopters you’re looking through at each given moment, has a nice test environment with good light and doesn’t pressure you, by all means enjoy the professional support.  And be sure to buy some glasses from those providers to make sure they stay in business!

Housekeeping Notes:  I’ve been a bit sidetracked by actual business, hence a bit less time to post here in the blog or be active in the Le Meow forum or our Facebook group.  On the good news side, we have over a dozen health and wellness podcasts (some of them quite large) waiting to do interviews and I’m planning to get those done in the coming months.  It’s finally on the active to-do list.  Stay tuned!

Cheers,

-Jake

Aniket: -6.75 Down To -4.50 (Optometrist Confirmed)

Kittehz!

If you’ve been coming around looking for new blog updates and left wanting, please accept the humblest of all beardly apologies. Lots been going on:

I’ve posted a few new videos on our Youtube channel, spent quite a bit of time in our new private forum, updated our privacy policy, e-mail list, and BackTo20/20 to finalize GDPR compliance, finished updating the site and BackTo20/20 to full SSL encryption, updated the site to handle Google’s new mobile search stuff, and the option for you to get browser notifications for new posts, added a few video sessions to BackTo20/20 and finally finished a whole list of behind the scenes tweaks.

New post notification option (works in Safar & Chrome)

Meanwhile the Facebook group has had quite a few improvement updates which I haven’t yet gotten around to documenting here.

Let’s do one right now!  Aniket, with a solid update:

Bountiful gains.

Diopter ratio removed completely, and down to below five diopters.

If  you’re still reading and contemplating and wondering and making little excuses, maybe now is the time to get off the fence.  Redo the 7 day e-mail series, follow each piece of advice  there, start reading the diopter and how-to sections of  the blog.  Read and learn, and then go apply.

Everybody’s doing it, come on!

Cheers,

-Jake

Felix: -9.00 High Myopia To 20/40 WITHOUT GLASSES

Hello darlings!

Your favorite eye guru has been increasingly less completely on point of keep track of 20/20 gains updates posted by our kitteh gang.

Every time I say there are more updates than I can post here, and every month it seems like the last time I said it was much fewer in comparison to the current moment.  More and more and moar gains updates are coming in, as the site and project continue to get more participants.

Awesome!

I’ve been particularly bad about keeping track of Facebook gains updates, only occasionally hitting the ‘save post’ button to eventually get around to posting the update here in the blog.  So if you head over to our Facebook group you’ll definitely find a whole lot more improvement updates than you will just here on the darling bloglet.

Let’s get a couple of the recent ones, though.  Like Felix:

Felix: -9.00 To -3.00 Diopters

Pretty good start.

Your sagely eye guru has a pretty standard response to people asking how fast they can improve their eyesight.  That said, you might get lucky and see even more gains than what’s already a pretty excellent statistic.

And another one leaving higher myopia territory for almost 20/20:

Matt: From -5.00 To -1.00

Matt makes it into the list every so often, posting solid updates.

Fundamentals are key.  Don’t wing it.

All the details count.  Don’t learn the hard way, no need to reinvent the wheel.

Steven: Optometrist Confirmed -6.50 To -4.50

Another optometrist confirmed update:

Again, details matter.

And we’ll stop here for today.

You’ll find dozens more in our Facebook group usually at any given point.  There have also been quite a few in my e-mail but since I’ve been traveling a lot lately and otherwise quite busy, I haven’t been great about saving them to post here.

I’ll keep posting gains reviews and updates.  Most important is for you to add your  very own story, have your own successes shedding those plastic diopters, and make your own awesome 20/20 gains.

Cheers,

-Jake
