Dr. Epshtein dives into practical uses of OCT technology including the OCT concept, types of OCT scans, their interpretation and detection of normal vs. signs of pathology. Clinical cases will be presented to demonstrate the use and interpretation of OCT for diagnosing common diseases as well as masquerader pathology.

Dr. Fingeret and Prof. Flanagan share their insights regarding best practices in glaucoma diagnosis and management based on recent innovations.

Ultra-widefield 2.0: HD True Color Imaging

Dr. Gee and Dr. Epshtein provide valuable insight on how ODs are implementing the latest technology in ultra-widefield imaging into their practice, enhancing both patient care and patient education.
Cases will be presented highlighting the clinical value of true color, high-resolution imaging from the ZEISS CLARUS 500 and how it can aid in detecting and diagnosing the full spectrum of eye disease, from the periphery to the macula, optic nerve head and anterior segment.
Glaucoma Progression – Putting the Pieces All Together

Dr. Fingeret and Dr. Chaglasian discuss the importance of detecting glaucoma progression and the rate of progression when managing glaucoma and making decisions about treating a patient, changing medication or referring a patient to a glaucoma specialist.
When managing a glaucoma patient, longitudinal sets of multi-dimensional, multi-modality data must be used in combination. Glaucoma Workplace is a platform that integrates OCT structure and Visual Field function, bringing together test of both types in Guided Progression Analysis (GPA™) to help determine if glaucoma is in a stable condition or progressing, and at what rate.
OCT Angiography: Routine to Extreme

Dr. Steele and Dr. Majcher review OCT Angiography (OCTA) technology, its implementation in OCT devices and practical considerations for using OCTA as a complementary modality that may aid in revealing or confirming early signs of disease and assist in the diagnosis and management of retina diseases, such as diabetic retinopathy, AMD and vascular pathology. Novel applications for tracking changes in glaucoma based on capillary blood flow parameters are also discussed.
