About the Speaker:

Dr. Nanasy is co-owner of The Eye Center of Pembroke Pines and its subsidiary, Florida Institute of Sports Vision.

She specializes in sports vision, pediatrics, and vision therapy. She is the Director of Sports Vision Testing for the Miami Dolphins and is the Team Optometrist for Nova Southeastern University. She is also a performance vision consultant for the University of Central Florida and the New York Mets.

She is adjunct faculty at NSU College of Optometry where she designed and taught the first elective on Sports and Performance Vision in primary and tertiary eye care.

She has several publications to her credit in Optometric Management and Optometric Office. Dr. Nanasy has appeared on the local ABC affiliate news to discuss using new technology to predict eye disease and protecting the eye from blue light in the digital age. She is a member of the American Optometric Association and is the current Chair-Elect for the Sports and Performance Vision Board as well as an active moderator and emcee for AOA +/ AOA Leadership link events.

She is an Associate of the College of Optometrists in vision development. Dr. Nanasy earned Bachelors of Science degrees in Molecular Biology and Psychology (University of Central Florida) and Vision Science (Nova Southeastern University). She later earned her Doctor of Optometry degree (with Professional Honors) from Nova Southeastern University.
