Fitting DT1MF is a total no-brainer. DT1 is the most comfortable lens I’ve ever worn, hands down.

I wore them for a long time, until my ATR cyl got to >1D and sadly, Alcon is ignoring astigmats. And you absolutely cannot ignore astigmatism in the dominant eye. Non-dom, okay, to a point. The fitting guide is correct. Do not fear starting with an extra +.25. Some hyperopes accept even more.

If patient freaks out at the price, there are options: Alcon Air Optics, B+L Ultra in the monthly category. Cooper BF for people with clear dominance or who need a toric (like me!) I’ve also found that DT1 can be used easily 4-5 times and sometimes even for a week with Clear Care disinfection (not hydraglyde version) and works fine for continuous wear (3 days for me and my office manager.) That “fixes” the cost concern but, of course, re-use or CW should not be a “selling” factor.
